Over the years, I have always found myself saying that the Patriots will finally lose in the playoffs. I would find obscure statistics pointing against their favor justifying the idea that this time they won’t win. Why did I do that? Well I guess you hate to see one team dominate the way the Patriots have the better majority of the 2000s, if you are not a fan yourself of course.
The Patriots have a 28-10 record in the playoffs since 2000 and have made the playoffs 16 times in the last 18 years. I have finally reached a point in my life where I simply tip my hat to Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. The things they have accomplished over the years has simply been phenomenal. Just constant winning on their end and the best part is they never want to be slowed down. For most teams it’s usually the same story. Good for a few years and then they drop off and need to rebuild. But not the Patriots. They have kept a dominant team year in and year out for a long time now. They even consistently turn their late draft picks into stars which no one still understands. Regardless, I have always known these things and still would have doubted them. It took until the Super Bowl comeback against the Falcons in 2017 for me to realize to never bet against the Patriots ever again.
Now with the 2018 AFC Championship game upon us against the Chiefs, I urge everyone to not go against the Patriots either. If history has told us anything, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady will come out guns blazing as they are hungry for another Super Bowl appearance and win. I don’t care what everyone is saying or how incredible Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs have played all year, you DO NOT count the Patriots out until the clock hits 0 in the 4th quarter.
